- 1/4 tsp nutmeg

Instructions:
- Prepare the crust by combining flour, butter, and shortening. Add ice water gradually until the dough forms.
- Roll out half the dough and place it in a pie dish.
- In a bowl, mix apples, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice.
- Pour the apple mixture into the crust, cover with the remaining dough, and seal the edges.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 50 minutes or until golden brown.

Here’s a simple recipe:
Strawberry Rhubarb Crisp
Ingredients
For the Filling:
- 4 cups fresh rhubarb, chopped into 1-inch pieces
- 4 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
For the Topping:
- 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
