Apple Monster VS Cookie Monster

Are you secretly afraid of the cookie monster?!  🍪

I'm not talking about that crazy blue furry creature that lives on "The Street" and only eats cookies.

Nope, we're talking about that crazy little monster inside you that as soon as you get thinking about yummy, delicious chocolate chip cookies, you not only have to satisfy that urge, but you have to make it count and that is one delicious cookie after another.

Freeze Dried Apples

👹 Now, I'm not suggesting that monsters are the worst, but if I had to have one living at my house - with me - I'd take an apple monster.

Think about it, no one ever became unhealthy from eating too many apples!

The problem, apples aren't NEAR as delicious as cookies - UNTIL NOW!!

If you know me at all, you know that my homemade chocolate chip cookie is my biggest weakness in the world when it comes to sweet overindulgence!

I love the raw dough and I love the fresh from the oven cookie and even better - I love the straight out of the freezer cookie!

Until I discovered Freeze Dried Apples! 🍎 🍏

And, I'm not even kidding!

I pretty much forgot about those sweet chocolate chip cookies and now I go straight for those sweet, crunchy, take with me everywhere I go, never go brown or rotten Freeze Dried Apples!

Hmmmm... ☝️Hold on a second, I've got to go grab my can of apples.

Okay...I'm back and yep, I just wanted to make sure that I am really doing them justice here!

They are delicious! 🤤

But that's really not even the best part.

See, I think they are delicious, but more importantly, my kids think they are "nature's candy"!

I know - MY KIDS - thinking a vitamin and nutrient, fiber-filled healthy apple is "candy"!

Seriously! That is one of those amazing mom moments you just have to sit and be happy in for a minute!

But really!  If you haven't ever had a chance to try "freeze dried" apples, it is a serious MUST DO!

Now some people think they have tried freeze dried apples, when what they really have tried are "dehydrated" apples.

The difference - dehydrated apples are bendy and can sometimes have a slimy texture to them. They have a little bit longer a shelf life than a fresh apple, but will become rotten and gross after a little bit.  And they're just gross - definitely not my favorite.

Freeze dried apples on the other hand are pretty much as crunchy as a potato chip. They have a shelf life of up to a year AFTER you open the packaging and if you keep them stored for a rainy day, they don't go bad for like 25+ years!

Plus, they have such a fresh and flavorful taste, you might actually run the risk of the doctor telling you to stop eating all those delicious apples because you can't help but go through a gigantic can in one afternoon!
