Did you know that in Japan, Christmas dinner often means fried chicken, in Norway people hide their brooms to keep witches away, and in Italy children wait for a friendly old witch named La Befana to deliver gifts?
In Venezuela, some families sleep with a string tied to their toe and the other end to a church bell so they won’t miss early-morning Christmas celebrations — and in Germany, kids don’t hang stockings… they leave shoes by the door.
Every country has its own cozy, quirky way of celebrating, and once you start reading them, it’s impossible to stop.
