It's Day 19

Doesn't it sound amazing to cozy up on the couch tonight with some delicious hot cocoa and a fun Christmas movie and just soak in the holiday for a minute.

🎄 Retro Christmas Fun Fact: Cocoa Edition ☕

Hot cocoa didn’t become a “Christmas drink” until the early 1900s.

Before that, chocolate was mostly served as a thick, bitter drink for adults — more medicine than marshmallows.

It became a cozy Christmas tradition when:
• Cocoa powder became affordable
• Home stoves made slow simmering easy
• Companies started marketing cocoa as a family drink
• And winter advertising leaned HARD into snow, mugs, and togetherness

By the 1920s–1940s, Christmas cocoa was officially cemented as a holiday staple — thanks in large part to vintage Christmas ads showing kids in pajamas, parents in aprons, and mugs steaming on the kitchen table.

Translation:
🎁 Cocoa didn’t just warm hands — it warmed memories.
